Rosa Ramos-Betancourt

Rosa M. Ramos-Betancourt is an Associate Professor/Counselor in the Counseling department at Riverside City College.

She holds a Master of Arts, Education: Counseling and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Liberal Studies from CSU San Bernardino and an Associate of Arts degree from Mt. San Jacinto College. Rosa is also passionate about assisting her students to live with purpose as they pursue their education.

Her counseling approach is based on the unique needs of the individual and she works with students to determine how counseling can be most useful for them based on their experiences, background, culture, and worldview.

Rosa believes counseling is a collaborative process and she seeks to provide a safe and supportive environment that empowers individuals to live with a sense of purpose and meaning to guide them through life.

Rosa received certificates of recognition from the California Legislature Assembly, Jose Medina, Assembly member; State of California Senate, Richard D. Roth, Senator; and The United States Congress, Mark Takano, Congressmen for her dedication and service with a combined 10 Years at Riverside City College and Mt. San Jacinto College as the Puente Counselor/Co-coordinator in May of 2018.

Rosa has been serving students for over 34 years. She is a true testimony that with a positive attitude, preparation, reliance, persistence and living life with a purpose, one can accomplish anything he or she sets his or her mind too.
