EOPS has been a very valuable resource for me during the last two years at College of the Redwoods, both financially and educationally. Financially, I’ve especially benefited from the textbook award and the laptop loan. The laptop loan came at a crucial time during the fall 2020 semester and has been absolutely vital to my ability to continue with online instruction. Educationally, I’ve most benefited from the counseling services, as EOPS’s counselors have been perhaps my greatest resources for course selection, career and educational guidance, as well as support for preparing to transfer to Humboldt State University next semester.
My educational goals are to complete an Associate of Liberal Arts: Science from CR, then a B.S. in Cellular/ Molecular Biology at HSU, and finally an M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies, ideally somewhere in California. My professional goal is to work as a primary care provider and would love to return home to Humboldt County to start my career.
